I walked through every level of Hongya Cave in Chongqing and was amazed by how the street market areas are all open to the sky, even on the upper floors. Walking through them feels just like being on the ground floor, with sunlight shining down and the lively atmosphere all around.
Exploring this cliffside wonder from bottom to top gave me a new appreciation for how it is built into the hillside and how each level offers a completely different perspective of the city.
