I bought the Apple M1 Mac Mini right before Apple announced the Mac Studio with M1 Ultra chip. So...now I am faced with the question: Do I keep the M1 Mac Mini or do I jump ship and go for the Mac Studio? In this review, I break down the things I love about the M1 Mac Mini, the things I don't love, and decide what to do now that we live in a post-Mac Studio world. It's the Mac Studio or Mac Mini 2022

If it's the MAc Studio or the Mac Mini in 2022, there are a few things to consider. You can get a fully loaded Mac Mini and two Ben Q SW27 4k monitors, a Logitech MX Keyboard and mouse, and the hubs and docks you need to plug everything in for about the same price as a Mac Studio with 32GB or RAM and a 2TB HD. The trick is really to weigh it against how much time you will save in production by having a much faster processor. This is going to come in handy the most when editing video like in Final Cut Pro and exporting large amounts of images from Lightroom or Capture One. Ultimately, time is money. If you are cranking out a high volume of video and images, you might want to consider the Mac Studio over the Mini. If you are a relatively low volume portrait studio, you will probably be very happy with the Mini.
