🎮 What we’ve been playing:

Tom shows off a huge Japan haul including a transparent “piss-yellow” PS2 controller, Final Fight soundtrack collection, Snatcher audio CD, Bomberman 4 & 5, Rumble Roses, God of War II, and more Mega Drive classics. He’s been playing Yakuza 3, replaying Resident Evil 4 with a chaotic BioRand randomiser mod (Krauser showing up early = pain), and continuing his retro deep dive.

Leon finished Super Mario Odyssey, returned to Breath of the Wild (with mixed feelings about the ending), continued Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, tried Monster Hunter Stories, and jumped into the Marathon server slam — praising its gunplay, aesthetic, and hardcore extraction focus despite the online hate.

Stu hit up NQ64 arcade bar, playing Time Crisis, OutRun, Bubble Bobble, and a wild Japanese rhythm game with a giant circular touchscreen. He and Tommy also completed Reanimal, calling it short but solid co-op horror in the style of Little Nightmares.

TommyT finally finished Breath of the Wild (after discovering parrying very late…), wrapped up Rayman, and is deep into Resident Evil 9: Requiem — calling it his favourite in the series so far thanks to its blend of classic horror tension and action. He’s also eyeing up Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut next.

Heather is also playing Resident Evil 9, praising Grace’s voice acting and the insane environmental detail (blood splatter that actually stays put). She briefly tried Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown on PS Plus… and was not impressed.

Industry chatter suggests Nintendo risks becoming stale if it relies too heavily on legacy IP like Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon — though the crew aren’t convinced those franchises are going anywhere anytime soon.
