A scintillating Dance Drama by the students of Indore Public School was performed to celebrate the ever changing moods of nature on November 25th, 2018, the Annual Function Day of the School.
The Dance Drama item which was a part of the ISA Curriculum Activity No.07 ‘Season Galore’ aimed at exploring seasons of Australia, Sweden and India.
The two migratory bird friends, Red Knot and Pheasant will take you along to their enchanting seasonal journey to three countries namely Australia, Sweden and India.
To begin with the Mid Summer Festival of Sweden, the Maypole Dance performed there will enable you to gain an insight into their culture and at the same time, offer a glimpse of this long awaited summer festival wherein the Swedes bask in the glory of sunny days.
Further, this migration trip will take you to Australia where Australians aborigines celebrate their most popular Garma festival of Arnhemland. The foot tapping and lilting music will certainly make you dance to their tunes.
The rendezvous between Salim Ali and the birds will next, land you directly into a cultural melting pot, i.e. India where, in the west of India through its ethereal riot of colours of Dandiya Raas will virtually take you to the wonderful and enchanting world of the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Up next, you would watch the residents of eastern India enjoying their harvest festivities with special emphasis on Magh Bihu. Finally, it is the North Indians, reveling in to the tunes of Bhangra during their festive celebration ‘Baisakhi’. Journey up and down the globe and enjoy the exhilarating Dance Drama !!!
