Gillespie Pass Circuit (Ambient Hiking)

The Gillespie Pass Circuit is a 3 day Hike in the middle of the Tititea (Mount Aspiring) National Park in Aotearoa.

To access this hike you have to cross the Makarora river.
We did the circuit anti-clockwise and started by walking up the Young Valley.
We stayed in the Young Hut and the Siberia Hut with DOC-Hut-Passes.
On the second day we did the side trip to Crucible lake while being aware that we have to return in the dark. On our last day we walked out via the Wilkins Valley.
Be aware of high river levels due to rainfall or snowmelt and of avalanche danger. We were very lucky with fantastic conditions on all 3 days. Feel free to ask more questions in the comments!
