Reworking the Petzl Bug for Better Invisible Selfie Stick Control

I rebuilt my DIY 360 camera backpack mount around a smaller Insta360 Back Bar mount plate for the Petzl Bug. The goal is better control of the invisible selfie stick angle while reducing the footprint of the mount inside the backpack.

This is still a prototype, not the finished system. I show why I replaced the previous ball style plate, how the smaller mount forced me to redesign the internal support, and how I built the new structure from cardboard, a plastic cutting board, washers, double sided adhesive, and duct tape. The two piece construction still has to fit through the Petzl Bug pocket, stay flat under load, support the small metal mounting footprint, and remain easy enough to disassemble.

The important part is still unproven. The new plate should hold its angle better than the previous version, but the complete structure now has to survive real use during the upcoming DusterHouse autumn run. The field test and footage quality will decide whether this version stays or gets rebuilt again.
