Upon hearing that The Associates co-founder, keyboardist and guitarist Alan Rankine had passed away in January 2023, I wanted to make an extended music video to one of the band's 12" mixes. "Club Country" was the song. Lead Vocalist Billy Mackenzie died in January 1997, 26 years before Alan and while alive, they created and crafted a unique and spectacular band.
