Super cyclone Amphan hit the Indian coast as strong winds, heavy rains and crashing waves were seen at Digha in West Bengal on Wednesday. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed 41 teams in West Bengal and Odisha and has kept additional manpower on standby. NDRF Chief S N Pradhan informed that evacuation drives in to- be hard-hit districts have started already.
