Islamic Relief's Disaster Management Team was in Puerto Rico in January 2023 for a long-term recovery project. The team along with a group of volunteers worked to make high shelving in homes prone to flooding. These shelves can then be used to protect and secure the people's belongings when a storm does come and help to mitigate damages.
