Not to get sappy, but it’s been a dream for me to play music I like LIVE. I practiced in My head, then bought a board and practiced in my room. The dancing. The playing. The expression of songs that caught my heart. Nothing has changed into my adulthood. I still love to listen to afro beats since they came about. I found out about the Palm wine genre too that some definitely derive from. I fell in love with the rhythmic lyrics that interchange rap with singing. Most song are uplifting, groovy, unique, and less oppressive towards women. Living in LA every rapper gets big off saying crazy stuff about girls and girls respond thinking they got to be like that. I just found this music and stuck with it and it has treated me well. Posting these videos is bringing my dreams to life for me and I hope to play live someday.
