Here's my edit of the one and only Parisian robot duo, France's finest - Daft Punk! This edit is of Da Funk, their almost debut single originally released on Soma Quality Recordings way back in 1995, then rereleased on Virgin in 1996. Absolutely love the grimy funky hook in this track, and the Roland TB 303 action in the break, so no surprise that these elements feature heavily in my version. I've been huge fans of Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem-christo for many years, and was lucky enough to see them on their Alive tour, with the pyramid and everything. What a gig! Hope you enjoy this little slice of French touch.
