Disco 3 + Jimny lifting wheels around Holmfirth

On this trip we started from Upper Cumberworth, along a few easy lanes to the first challenge - Cheese Gate Nab Side. There is a voluntary restriction on this lane so you should only attempt it headed down hill as we did. After that we headed through Holmfirth and a couple of scenic gravel lanes to Ramsden Road. This lane will likely soon operate under a permit scheme for members of GLASS only.

After picking up some rubbish that had been fly tipped we headed over to Delph for some great tight axle twister action on hunters hill. Between Castleshaw Reservoirs saw us heading up Low Gate Lane to the narrow rocky and rutted Broad Lane.

Mark drives his Jimny accompanied by Brandy the Dog. The Jimny has a 2" lift, oversize BFG AT tyres, caster and transfer case guards.

My Disco 3 has oversize BFG Mud tyres, compressor guard and rock sliders by ProSpeed. I also use a GAP IID tool to program the suspension to sit higher than standard in all modes. The rock sliders were put though their paces on this trip for the first time and have the scars to prove it. Glad I fitted them!
