A major LPG cylinder shortage has started affecting the hotel and restaurant industry in India. Due to the ongoing war situation between countries, the supply of commercial LPG cylinders has been disrupted, creating serious concern among restaurant owners.

Hotel and Restaurant Associations have warned that if the situation does not improve soon, restaurants in major cities may shut down within the next 48 hours. Delays in LPG delivery and restrictions on commercial gas supply have further worsened the crisis.

The association has also written a letter to the Petroleum Minister, requesting urgent intervention. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has issued a statement directing oil refineries to increase LPG production to meet the growing domestic demand.
