Peugeot 306 Maxi - Rally Legend San Marino 2023 - Engine Sound, Jumps, & Wheels that Slip!

Описание: How beautiful is this 1997 Peugeot 306 Maxi brought to the race by the Spanish crew Senra Caamano/Suarez Moledo! We are at the 2023 edition of the San Marino Legend Rally, and this car took me back to the past, in the mid-90s, when the French drivers Gilles Panizzi and François Delecour surprised the competitors from the best-performing 4WD cars in the WRC. We remember the second place in Monte Carlo and the Tour de Corse in 1996 with Delecour, where on asphalt, the 2WD car proved very competitive thanks to its lighter weight of around 200 kg compared to its 4WD rivals. Mechanically, we find a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine capable of developing 280-290 hp at 8,800 rpm. Front-wheel drive, X-Trac self-locking differential calibrated at 75%; AP triple dry carbon disc clutch and six or 7-speed X-Trac sequential gearbox + RM. The system adopted to limit wheel slip is fascinating: the electronic management removes the spark from one, two and up to three spark plugs to reduce the engine's torque output.

Che bella questa Peugeot 306 Maxi del 1997 portata in gara dall'equipaggio spagnolo Senra Caamano/Suarez Moledo! Ci troviamo all'edizione 2023 del Rally Legend di San Marino e questa vettura mi ha fatto fare un tuffo nel passato, a metà anni 90, quando i piloti francesi Gilles Panizzi e François Delecour nel WRC sorpresero la concorrenza delle più performanti vetture 4WD. Ricordiamo infatti il secondo posto al Monte Carlo ed al Tour de Corse del 1996 con Delecour dove su asfalto la vettura 2WD si è dimostrata molto competitiva grazie anche al peso più contenuto di circa 200 Kg sulle rivali 4WD. Meccanicamente troviamo un motore da 2.0-Litri, 4 cilindri in grado di erogare 280-290 cv a 8.800 giri/min. Trazione anteriore, differenziale autobloccante X-Trac tarato al 75%; frizione AP triplo disco a secco in carbonio e cambio sequenziale X-Trac a 6 o 7 rapporti + RM. Interessante il sistema adottato per limitare lo slittamento delle ruote: la gestione elettronica toglie la scintilla ad una, due e fino a tre candele in modo da diminuire l'erogazione di coppia da parte del motore.
