Lumiere started in Durham in 2009. What was meant as a one-off event ended up as a biennial event until this year, 2025.
Unfortunately, this year was announced as the very last one. So of course we had to go. But honestly? It felt so busy and badly organized that I'm not even sure I'll miss it. But at the same time it will also hold a special place in my heart, as it's the place that Marcus and I met, now two years ago.
