RTÉ News reports on the death of iconic American rock singer Meat Loaf, whose 1977 masterpiece "Bat Out of Hell" is among the biggest-selling albums in history. Meat Loaf died at his home in Nashville, Tennessee on 20th January 2022, aged 74. No official cause of death has been released, although it was reported that Meat Loaf had been battling COVID-19 shortly before he died.
