Starting near the Palm Cove Jetty and crossing into the Macalister Range National Park, the trail is a purpose-built, dual-use track designed for both mountain bikers and hikers. You’ll navigate a series of switchbacks and steady climbs that reward you with breathtaking, "secret" vantage points over the Coral Sea and Double Island. The descent into Ellis Beach is a thrilling mix of flowing turns and technical sections through ancient paperbark forests and rainforest gullies. Rated as a Grade 3 (Intermediate) trail, it typically takes about 45 minutes to ride, ending perfectly at the Ellis Beach foreshore for a well-earned rest.
