Welcome to this aerial tour by drone! This 4k video was recorded during our trip to Manchester, United Kingdom in April and May 2021. I truly enjoyed travelling to Manchester City Centre, and I hope you will also enjoy this drone footage.

About Manchester:

Manchester is the third most visited city in the UK, after London and Edinburgh. It is notable for its architecture, culture, musical exports, media links, scientific and engineering output, social impact, sports clubs and transport connections.

From the middle of XVIII century Manchester becomes a large center of cotton industry. After the opening of the Manchester Canal this place also becomes one of the main transport crossings of the country. Nowadays Manchester has become a major transport, trade, financial and industrial centre of the UK.

In addition to well-developed industry this city is the centre of British history and culture. In Manchester, not London, have first appeared repertory theatres. Today the visitors of this wonderful city can enjoy attending numerous theatres: City Drama Theatre, Opera House, Palace Theatre, Apollo Theatre and others.

Manchester's buildings display a variety of architectural styles, ranging from Victorian to contemporary architecture. The widespread use of red brick characterises the city, much of the architecture of which harks back to its days as a global centre for the cotton trade. Just outside the immediate city centre are a large number of former cotton mills, some of which have been left virtually untouched since their closure, while many have been redeveloped as apartment buildings and office space. Manchester Town Hall, in Albert Square, was built in the Gothic revival style and is seen as one of the most important Victorian buildings in England. Manchester also has a number of skyscrapers. The local Gothic Cathedral and the neo-Gothic Town Hall are distinctive architectural landmarks of the region. The building of the Central Library is an outstanding architectural attraction as well.

Manchester is well known as a city of sport. Two decorated Premier League football clubs bear the city name – Manchester United and Manchester City. Manchester United play its home games at Old Trafford, in the Manchester suburb of Trafford, the largest club football ground in the United Kingdom. Manchester City's home ground is the City of Manchester Stadium (also known as the Etihad Stadium for sponsorship purposes).

Finally, Manchester is famous for its numerous entertainment centres, clubs, shopping centre Arndale and the largest shopping centre in Europe named The Trafford Centre.

Manchester is a popular tourist destination with developed tourism infrastructure and tourism industry in general. The tourism sector is of great importance to Manchester.
