What are the symptoms of Trigeminal Neuralgia?
Trigeminal Neuralgia may present as jaw pain or cheek pain or eye pain along the V3 divison or the V2 division or V1 divisions of the Trigeminal Nerve. Some patients also request treatment for half-face pain or facial pain treatment.
What are the treatment options for Trigeminal Neuralgia?
Gamma Knife Radiosurgery of the Trigeminal Nerve, and Radiofrequency ablation of the Trigeminal Nerve are other options for treatment, but tend to be destructive procedures and temporary.
Which is the best treatment for Trigeminal Neuralgia?
Microvascular Decompression surgery is the best treatment in my opinion. MVD surgery also gives a chance at permanent cure, if done early and before destructive procedures like RFLG and Gamma knife surgery.
