Beloved, if your heart feels heavy this morning, if your soul is weary under a weight you can hardly name, remember this: "Why are you cast down, O my soul?" This is a cry that God hears and a question that He invites you to bring into His presence. In response to your distress, He offers a direct and loving assurance through the words of Jesus:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
This is not a dismissive command telling you to “just be happy.” It is a divine invitation specifically for those who are tired, those whose souls are weighed down by life, grief, failure, anxiety, or the sheer exhaustion of trying to carry everything on your own.
A heavy heart does not signify God's absence; rather, it is the very address to which His grace is sent. Come to Him. He is waiting for you, not with condemnation, but with open, nail-scarred hands capable of holding you and all that burdens you.
