A 140-year-old Victorian house gets a second chance at life.
This 1880s tuberculosis sanitarium—originally built at Hess and Parker Road in Parker, Colorado—is making its second move across the state. Now traveling 30 miles from Denver to Elizabeth, this historic home has been in the same family since the 1970s when it was first relocated to become a personal antique museum.
When development forced the family to sell their fifth-generation farm, they made a decision: save the house one more time.
In this video, you'll see:
→ The full excavation and foundation prep process
→ Why we had to do a 4-foot overdig for soil replacement
→ The engineering challenges of designing a foundation for a pre-built structure
→ The family's story and why this house means so much to them
This isn't just a foundation pour—it's a complete reassembly, addition, wraparound deck, and full interior restoration. The goal? Make it feel historic while giving it another century of life.
