বিজেপির উদ্যোগে রবিবার 5 লক্ষ কণ্ঠে গীতা পাঠ-এর আয়োজন করা হয়েছে ব্রিগেডে। এই অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দিতে শনিবার থেকেই জেলার বিভিন্ন মানুষ ব্রিগেডের উদ্দেশে রওনা দিয়েছে। গঙ্গাসাগর থেকে এক হাজার বিজেপি সমর্থককে আসতে দেখা গেল এদিন। কপিলমুনি মন্দিরে পুজো দিয়ে তারা ভেসেল পেরিয়ে কলকাতায় আসবেন বলে জানান। গঙ্গাসাগর থেকে প্রায় ৪০০০ মানুষ গীতা পাঠে অংশগ্রহণ করবেন বলে দাবি বিজেপির।
On Sunday, the BJP has organized a grand event at the Brigade Parade Ground where the Bhagavad Gita will be recited by five lakh voices together. From Saturday itself, people from various districts began heading towards the Brigade to join the programme. On the same day, one thousand BJP supporters were seen arriving from Gangasagar. After offering prayers at the Kapil Muni Temple, they said they would cross the river by vessel to reach Kolkata. The BJP has claimed that nearly 4,000 people from Gangasagar will participate in the Gita recitation.
