Описание: I've probably never been prouder to release a song than I am to bring you this particular song, for so many reasons - this is going to feel like one long PDA.

"Superhuman" is dedicated to and written for my amazing Mum, Annette, who turns 70 on 16/08/19 (the day this video is released). Her dedication to our family and friends over the years has been nothing short of incredible, and she deserved nothing more than to have a song written for her which pretty much sums her up in one word. Mum, as it says at the start, this one is just for you. Thank you for everything you have done for me up until now, you have been an amazing Mum, manager, and friend. This is not the end, this is just the beginning! Love you X

Writing and recording this song, and the subsequent video has been months in the works, and has been a really tricky task at times. Many lies, and fake stories have been told along the way, all to keep this surprise intact. And there are several people I need to mention and thank for their contribution!

Aside from the surprise of writing a song, I thought I would add to the surprise by getting my beautiful younger sister, Ria, to sing on the song too. Ria has always been able to sing, but has never recorded anything until now, and so it has been truly special to be able to perform and record this song together for an either bigger surprise. Ria, you absolutely smashed it, and I'm so proud to have done this together. I will always remember shooting this video together, and the recording process. Maybe it won't be the last time? Love you X

Also, as an added bonus, all the crowd backing vocals on this song, keeping it in the family, were supplied by my Dad, my awesome big sister, Bree, and my two beautiful nieces, Leila & Lori. Sneaking them into the house to record while Mum was out for a few hours was tough, but we managed to do it and everyone did a great job! Thanks guys, and I love you all. X

I knew that I would need some help with getting the track finished with a mix etc, and at quite short notice after an unfortunate mishap happened with someone else, Dan McNally kindly stepped up to the plate and helped me bring a very rough demo to life and turn it into something that I'm super proud of. Thank you Dan, for making this idea come true at relatively short notice. You smashed it, thank you so much - I couldn't have done it without you.

So, after all of that was going on... I had a crazy thought about maybe squeezing in a video too. After all, this might be the only time me and my sister do a song together. So I asked the main geeza, Shaun Hodson @ Loki films (look them up!!!), what his schedule was like, and whether he'd be able to help a guy in need that wanted to give his Mum the best 70th surprise ever. Again, at pretty short notice, Shaun absolutely killed it with the video, and welcomed me and my sister into his home in Lincolnshire in order to make this video happen, edited it in record time, and has captured some epic moments in time that I'm never going to forget. Thank you, Shaun, you are an absolute hero!

Also need to thank Liam Hesslewood for helping me sort out the cover artwork for the itunes single etc. Again, at about 3 days notice so I also need to thank him for being a legend as usual. Thanks, Liam!

Last thing I wanna say is thank you to everyone that watches this video. I'm hoping some of you might even be able to relate this song to your own Mum's. I think in some ways all Mum's are superhuman. You only realise just how much they do, when you become an adult yourself and can fully appreciate it. So whilst this song was written for my Mum in particular, extra shoutout to all the Mum's out there that juggle about 5000 different things at once to keep their families happy. Big love X


As for me, this has properly spurred me on, and I'm gonna use this as an opportunity to relaunch myself, and start releasing regular music again under my own name. I'm proud of what I've done up until now, but I know that the best is yet to come. Thank you for all the support that you all have shown me over the years. I love you all, too.
