Bendigo Area Rail Action: Y163 & Sprinter 7005 Transfers + PN & SSR Grains- 1st & 2nd Feb. 2025

Описание: Video from the 1st and 2nd of February 2025 from around Bendigo with a decent amount of rail action for the weekend including two seperate V/Line workshops transfers and a grain train each from Pacific National and SSR.

Saturday the 1st bought the second V/Line transfer to the Bendigo North workshops in as many days and with N453 once again officiating. This time around it wasn't a retired set being dragged up, but the five cars of VN17 for some maintenance work to be performed with this set one of the last to remain in service with V/Line. Heading back were the ACN-BRN-BN cars of N13 as well as pilot loco Y163, resident at the workshops since October 2024 and surprisingly not retired itself. PN's 9049 empty grain from North Geelong to Deniliquin was then caught late that night with XR551, BL28 and G522 in charge.

The 2nd began with yet another V/Line transfer, this time a pair of Sprinters with 7010-7005 making a one-way trip to the workshops as 8097 caught at Golden Square. With 7005 being the last in the old Mk3 livery, this could well be the final time it's seen on the mainline in that scheme. Back at Kangaroo Flat again that night we see SSR's 9097 empties from Appleton Dock to Piangil rolling through the loop led by N464, S311, S312 and N463 running ahead of an approaching lightning storm.
