Kiran Khare, IPS, DCP South zone, conducted a counselling programme with rowdy sheeters at Purani Haveli along with ADCP Majeed and all ACPs, SHOs on 31.12.2025.
The DCP strictly warned them against indulging in any unlawful activities and instructed them to lead their lives within the framework of law, especially in view of the New Year. He stated that rowdy sheets of those maintaining sustained good behaviour would be considered for closure.
He also informed that strict surveillance will be maintained and any violation of law will invite stringent action, including invocation of the PD Act. The binding-over process against rowdy sheeters has been initiated, and if any case is booked against a bound-over person, the bond will be forfeited, leading to a penalty of up to ₹1 lakh or imprisonment up to six months, or both.
