Anse major trail picks up at the end of Bel Ombré road near the village of bel ombré. If you enter “calm sorento” on google maps, you’ll find the pin very close to where the Anse major trailhead begins. The trail is very well marked and easy to fallow. Most of the trail is completely expose to the sun after about 10am but there are a few points where it passes through tree cover. Much of the trail has stunning views down to the ocean below and over to silhouette Island. Medium hard trail for people who are doing it first time it’s get quite difficult in the last when you are about to reach the beach you literally have to sit to climb the big boulders at the end, however the beach is stunning and secluded plus it has water taxi “boat” if you don’t want to come back hiking all over the trail again and it gets too sweaty so please bring bottled water.
