Leg 15 of 20 on our Norway Motorhome Tour takes us the short distance from Loen to Briksdalsbreen where we stay at Melkevoll Bretun Camping. Even though it is a very popular tourist destination for the cruise ships and that we were effectively on a car park we felt in nature surrounded by glaciers, mountains and waterfalls.
The main event here is the stunning 3km valley hike to the Briksdal Glacier but there are also a lot of other hiking routes to be done. On the drive up the valley we spotted the huge the Sulkja Waterfall a 274m cascade so we just had to go and investigate later on our bikes.
