Описание: David De Gea has confirmed he’s leaving Manchester United this summer. The 32-year-old has posted an emotional message on social media revealing he’s now primed to pursue a new challenge. And it brings a glittering spell at Old Trafford to a close, having joined from Atletico Madrid all the way back in 2011.

De Gea’s contract expired earlier in the month, with United previously agreeing a new deal with the Spain international.

However, the Red Devils then decided to pull the plug at the tail end of June.

And De Gea has now confirmed he’ll be leaving United in order to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.

David De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid at the age of 21 in 2011 in a £18.9million deal and he won the Premier League, the FA Cup, two League Cups and the Europa League. The Spaniard was also voted the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year on four occasions.

The former Spain international made a club-record 545 appearances for a goalkeeper and kept 190 clean sheets.

The Red Devils are nearing a transfer with Inter Milan for Andre Onana, who has already agreed personal terms.

A second bid worth £43million has been lodged for Onana despite Inter holding out for £50m.
