Hi there, everyone! Here, as I promised in the previous animatic, is the latest animatic that I have been working on to share with all of you to enjoy. Also, Happy Pride Month to you all! This is also tied into this month, and I worked on it last month to try to complete it before the end of this month.

My inspiration for this came from the song "Top of the World’ by Shawn Mendes from Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. I've been listening to it a lot over the past few months and even last year. But earlier this year, after hearing it a few more times, I started picturing multiple ideas and characters, and even singing along. At first, it was Akira and Yukari from Precure A La Mode, then Chloe and Merrin from Fire Emblem Engage, and other similar pairings. However, two characters kept popping up in my head every time I listened: my original characters, Shona Lunar and Nova. I knew I had to bring them to life, paying tribute to Akira and Yukari and other pairings, but with a twist. For Shona Lunar, I've got her wearing Akira’s Precure A La Mode outfit, and Nova is wearing one of Yor’s outfits from the Spy x Family video game. I thought it'd be fun to mix things up with their outfits and try sketching them in motion. I started working on this back in late May, aiming to finish by the end of the month. This project gave me a chance to focus on something specific and take my time, which is always a good thing. I'm also excited to try something new and challenge myself to create a dance animation to the best of my ability.

For this project, I opted for a simple color palette, but I made sure it was visually appealing and engaging to the eye, even with the color shift at the end of the animatic. I also chose to keep the colors simple to save time, as fully coloring it would have taken longer. However, I put a lot of thought and care into every frame of this animatic, ensuring it was well-crafted and polished throughout. The lighting was added to the later sections to make the characters pop, but with the tone and how the music changes as well throughout the animatic and video.Also, some parts were slightly edited, cut, or redone to work more with what I want to do for this. This is why there are two cut frames from this animatic, but I still made sure it flowed well, and it was still enjoyable to see and watch.


Next, I'll be working on my next animatic or video, but it may take some time to complete, just like my previous projects this year. Please be patient until then. I'll do my best to bring the next one to life for you all to enjoy here, just as I have with every other animatic and video I've created. I appreciate your understanding and patience until the next video is uploaded.
