The life of an application developer is becoming more challenging by the day with rising expectations to develop transactional apps that require resiliency, consistency & failure compensation on long-running operations. Enter Dapr. Dapr (Distributed Application Runtime) provides APIs that simplify microservice development and allow Dapr's sidecar to handle complex challenges devs would otherwise have to write themselves. Dapr provides a Workflow API that enables a close mapping of business requirements to code with the ability to schedule, automate & orchestrate real-life business processes. The Workflow API provides a simple programming model for managing state and includes features for scheduling, sequential & parallel execution and responding to external event triggers. This presentation will provide a demo-heavy deep dive, highlighting Dapr Workflow, and how they make developer lives easier for building business-critical applications.
