The training highlights the important role that journalists play to influence African Community to create a cultural shift, to break the silence, and be the voice of the voiceless in order to raise awareness on sensitive social and health issues like Infertility Stigma, Supporting Girl Education, Women Empowerment, Ending Child Marriage, Ending FGM and Stopping GBV, Diabetes early detection and prevention through their media stories, articles, blogs, reports and TV news.
It is designed to benefit journalists from Zimbabwe & Zambia in understanding the infertility issue in African communities and to learn the best media practices to cover such issues and raise awareness by following international standards of reporting and media ethics.
The training is addressed by Fertility, Psychiatry Diabetes & Hypertension and infectious disease Experts and Eminent Media Personalities.
It provides a great opportunity for the journalists to meet the experts and to network with each other and work as a unit to sensitize about sensitive issues.
