He Started as a songwriter for the Brill Building and launched a successful teen pop career with hits like "Oh! Carol" (written about Carol King) and "Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen". He Wrote for artists including Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Connie Francis. He Passed away on February 27, 2026, in Los Angeles, leaving a legacy as a rock 'n' roll icon.
