Personally. They’re just a relic of the old internet. Now replaced by that YouTubers style where you just use the frame. But now he’s using original artwork for his videos. Many others are still doing it though.
Though if I have ever watch one? I guess I watched this yokai one that I think was curated on yokai website? Don’t particularly have a good memory on this one. But it definitely wasn’t PG 13 that’s for sure. You know the typical swearing or replacing the image with something else. That sort of thing. I wonder if that video is still up. I should check.
Anyways yea. The only one that did particularly was team four stars. I guess people really liked the parodies for it to be profitable for them. They even started making their own stuff.
