Monstera deliciosa Plant Fruit - How to Harvest the Fruit, Ripen It and What it Tastes Like

That said, plants grown exclusively indoors as a houseplant likely will never fruit, but those grown outside year round will fruit quite freely throughout the year. In this video I show you what a Monstera deliciosa flower looks like and then what the fruit looks like after the flower has finished. I then demonstrate how to easily pick them and how to get them to ripen.

Once the fruit is ripening, there are a few things that should be noted, in particular the capacity for the fruit to cause tingling sensations in your mouth.
