Who is INGRES? Art History Chapter №3

Описание: The legend, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, whose style varied his entire 75 year-long art career and kept his critics on their toes, as he never wanted to be put in a box and labeled as x, y or z; while thriving in the true meaning of Eclecticism. Ingres inspired the modern art movements and was a hero to my dear Impressionists. He lived during the clashing period where two art movements competed with each other, yet he stuck with Neoclassicism over Romanticism very early on and stayed with this movement throughout the entirety of his life.
