Your productive buzz is often a nervous system screaming for help. I see you constantly pushing. You thrive on deadlines, adrenaline, and caffeine.
Yet, beneath the surface your system is running hot. Your body is revved up and always ready for action. This is your “go-go” state. It is a constant, high-intensity, sympathetic hum.
Your ADHD symptoms are magnified in this state. It isn’t just “you.” It is your physiology.
This state shows up as:
Hyperactivity: A body buzzing with energy it must discharge.
Racing Thoughts: Your brain scanning for threats, making stillness impossible.
Impulsivity: A system primed to act quickly rather than pause or act with intention.
This isn’t your superpower (I know....yet, a flow state is different from hypervigilance). It is a chronic stress response. You are running on a high-interest loan of adrenaline.
True power comes from learning to downshift. We must transmute the buzz into grounded resilience. You don’t have to lose your edge to find peace.
