According to the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau, more than 2,927 Sri Lankans, including 100 young women, left for employment opportunities in South Korea this year. Most secured jobs in the manufacturing sector, while others found work in fisheries, construction, and agriculture. The number is expected to surpass 3,000 by the end of the month.
