We visited Chester Zoo and had a great time looking at all the Animals for the day. In our opinion this is the best zoo in the UK (at-least out of the ones we have visited so far). We visited "The Islands" and Spirit of the Jaguars enclosure, went to see the Elephants and Anj put on a brave face and went into the butterfly enclosure. We couldn't have a day at Chester Zoo without trying the dole whip too! If you havent visited Chester Zoo we highly recommend it as its an amazing day out for the whole family.

It was our first day out post COVID and wasn't too sure what it was going to be like. Overall we think they did a good job with Social Distancing but there were other visitors that disregarded the rules as per usual. Our advice would be to be mindful of the big enclosures (Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Elephants etc) As people will do anything to catch a glimpse of the animals moving. We attempted to avoid the crowds where we could. Also had chance to stop and have some Dole whip which is always a result!
