Описание: By 1964, the Elk River Coal & Lumber Company's sawmill at Swandale was in its final days. Still, three times a week a train arrived from the B&O interchange to pick up a few loads of lumber and woodchips. The sounds of the steam engines blended with the scream of the bandsaw which could be heard for mills up the valley. When the train left and the bandsaw stopped, all that remained was the chirping of the mountain birds until the cycle was repeated on another day.
