Textron and Leonardo unveil new Beechcraft M-346N jet trainer for the US Navy

Textron Aviation Defense, in partnership with Italy's Leonardo, has unveiled the new M-346N jet trainer. This naval version of the M-346 Master will be offered to the US Navy as a modern jet trainer.
The offer is in response to the Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) program to replace the retired T-45 Goshawk fighter jets .
With decades of experience designing and manufacturing aircraft, Textron (parent company of Cessna and Beechcraft) proposed the superior M-346N which combines American toughness with advanced European technology.
The M-346 is powered by two Honeywell F124-GA-200 turbofan engines. These engines produce speeds above 590 knots and allow the aircraft to fly to an altitude of 45,000 feet.
