The focus is on end-to-end capability—from chip design and component manufacturing to full-scale fabrication—supported by the creation of indigenous design teams and R&D investments.

In the field of AI, India is taking bold strides. With 18,000 GPUs already deployed and 14,000 more incoming, India is building the compute capacity necessary for next-gen innovation. Indigenous Large Language Models, foundational datasets through AI Kosh, and a techno-legal approach to AI safety are shaping a responsible, inclusive AI future. The approach is clear: democratize access, enable local innovation, and make AI work for Bharat.

India’s infrastructure revolution is equally significant. The country has become the world’s largest locomotive manufacturer and the second-largest cargo carrier. Under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the railway sector is undergoing a massive transformation—103 stations are being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, over 70 Vande Bharat trains have been introduced, and new projects like the bullet train, track replacement, and 100% electrification are underway. New-age locomotives like the D9 mark the adoption of cutting-edge technology in rail operations.

This transformation is not limited to large enterprises. MSMEs and Indian industries are being encouraged to actively participate in this ecosystem—through component manufacturing, design partnerships, and innovation supply chains. The emphasis is on creating a truly Atmanirbhar economy where inclusive development ensures the empowerment of Antyodaya—those at the last mile.

The CII Annual Business Summit 2025 presents a comprehensive view of India's next leap—where mindset meets manufacturing, infrastructure meets innovation, and policy meets people. It is a glimpse into a future-ready, self-reliant, and globally competitive India, moving steadily toward the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
