The 3.6L GM engines (like the LFX, LY7, or LGX) are known for a few internal issues, so finding spun bearings isn’t too surprising—though it’s never a fun discovery. Not being able to remove the torque converter is a real pain; those bolts are nearly impossible to access, especially if the engine is seized up and there’s some internal damage.
I found a spun bearing in this engine, even though someone just did a timing job on it but obviously it didn’t help. Enjoy the process.
