This video series will show you how to end the jumpy tractor problem.
The issue is that over time the linkage system to the speed and direction control spool in the travel control valve get worn out.
This video series is specific to the 4 digit Ingersoll tractors. There are some different steps for the 3 digit tractors, mainly, the front PTO lever is in the way of the travel control lever. You need to replace the travel control lever bottom washer to complete this job. Pulling the PTO lever out of the way of the travel control levers needed forward movement will get your 3 digit tractor working like it did when it was new.
Luckily this problem took about 1,000 hours to show up. That means it should be something that only gets repaired once every decade or three.
