On day 119, I woke up to a wet morning on the Namakan River. After a slow start, drying out gear and shaking off the rain, I packed up and began the long push toward Quetico Provincial Park. The day was filled with portages and paddling, and by evening I found myself camping on a tiny island just inside the park — surrounded by busy beavers.
Day 120 started early, with the goal of covering serious distance. I portaged into Beaverhouse Lake and pushed onward to Quetico Lake. But not long after arriving, a powerful squall rolled in, cutting the day short and forcing me to set up camp early.
This episode captures both the challenges and beauty of the journey — wet mornings, heavy carries, unexpected storms, and quiet moments of wilderness solitude.
This journey has been a test of endurance, courage, and determination. Every paddle stroke brings new challenges and unforgettable moments. Will I make it all the way across Canada? Stick around to find out!
