This chapter is where we find a teaching that is often misunderstood and unnecessarily keeps many people in fear about their relationship with God. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is known as the unpardonable sin, a title which strikes fear into people who do not take the time to study the teaching or understand the context in which it was originally taught. We will examine the context of this specific teaching, the reason the topic was addressed, and what it means for us today. We will define what blasphemy against the Holy Spirit IS, what it is NOT, and how we can be confident in the status of our relationship with God through faith in Jesus.
