From Tsinghua East Gate to Yangshan Park on Datun North Road (weekly soccer match). Passing Bird‘s Nest, Water Cube, Olympic Park—traveling between North 4th and North 5th Ring Roads.

When not in a hurry, buses beat the metro.

Mind empties, thoughts drift. You can think about anything—or nothing. Just watch streetscapes scroll by like a slow film.

20 years ago, most of this route was villages.

North 4th Ring’s rapid development began around 2000 with亚运会‑era housing . On 24 December 2003, the National Stadium (Bird‘s Nest) and National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) broke ground—marking full‑scale Olympic construction . One round, one square—embodying the Chinese concept of “round heaven, square earth”—they became symbols of Beijing reaching the world .

Over two decades, North 4th Ring has hosted countless young people’s growth—many settled here, grew with it . From Olympic Center west: Zhongguancun, China‘s IT heartland. East: Wangjing .

Bus 466 launched 26 September 2006 . My segment: Qinghua East Road West → Shuangqing Road South → Qianbajia → Bairuyuan → Forestry University North → Kehui Road West → Lincui Road → Olympic Village West → Nangou Nihe → Walikou South . Walikou South sits by Olympic Park, where Lines 8 and 15 meet .

Outside: Bird’s Nest and Water Cube under perfect blue skies.

2008 Olympics reshaped Beijing‘s old “rich east, noble west, poor south” pattern . Now a tourist magnet and public sports hub. Post‑Games, Water Cube became a健身 leisure venue .

Past Olympic Park, bus continues north: Huizhong Beili → Xindian Village → Beiyuan → approaching Yangshan Park.

2023年6月11日，09:10到14:06，北京。466路公交车上看夏天街景，今天有很好看的云。从清华东门上车，去大屯北路的仰山公园踢球（每周一场的活动）。途经鸟巢、水立方、奥林匹克公园，在北四环和北五环之间穿行。

如果不赶时间，坐公交车比地铁有意思得多。

大脑可以放空，任意识随意流淌。你可以想任何事，也可以什么都不想，只是看一幕幕街景从眼前划过。那些写字楼、小区、公园、天桥，像一部慢放的电影。

20年前，这一路大部分都是村庄。

北四环的快速发展始于2000年左右，由于亚运会的召开，出现了大量的配套住宅 。2003年12月24日，国家体育场（鸟巢）和国家游泳中心（水立方）破土动工，标志着北京奥运场馆建设的全面展开 。这个与东面的“鸟巢”一圆一方，体现了中国“天圆地方”建筑理念的场馆，成为北京走向世界的标志 。

此后二十年，北四环承载了无数年轻人的成长历程，很多人来到北京后先在四环周边扎根、发展，跟着四环一起成长 。以奥体中心为原点，沿着北四环一路向西，是我国的IT产业重镇——中关村，一路向东，则是望京板块 。

466路公交线路于2006年9月26日开通运营 。今天我乘坐的这一段，从清华东路西口出发，经过双清路南口、前八家、柏儒苑、林大北路东口，到达科荟路西口，然后经过林萃路、奥运村西、南沟泥河、洼里南口 。洼里南口站紧邻奥林匹克公园，地铁8号线和15号线在此交会 。

车窗外，鸟巢和水立方在蓝天白云下格外好看。

2008年北京奥运会改变了北京多年来的“东富西贵、南贫北贱”的格局 。如今，这里不仅是游客打卡地，也是市民运动休闲的好去处。奥运会后，水立方被改造为为市民提供健身、休闲服务的场所 。

过了奥林匹克公园，公交车继续往北，经过慧忠北里、辛店村、北苑，最后到达仰山公园附近。

看看中国的城市化，多迅猛。

20年前还是村庄的地方，现在是世界瞩目的奥运场馆；20年前还是农田的地方，现在是写字楼林立的科技园区。466路公交车像一条时间线，串起这座城市的过去和现在。
