Meat Theory is offering two sharing platters this Ramadan for groups of 3 and 4 people at only TK 1200 per person. Offer applicable on Parillada and Cattle Battle platters.

Parillada- I tried Parillada which is perfect for 3 and comes with 4 sides plus 2 sauce of your choice. This platter consists of a 200gm Skirt Steak, 200gm Jamaican Chicken, 500gm Baby Back Ribs, 80gm Chicken Chorizo Sausage & 80gm Gourmet Beef Sausage, 40gm Beef Canadian Bacon over wedges.

Their Baby Back Ribs are hands down my favourite of all time! So soft the bones will slide off the meat with a little pull. Tried their Jamaican Chicken for the first time and it was surprisingly delicious. Smoky, tender and flavourful. If you don’t mind medium doneness you’ll like their skirt steak but make sure to have it asap otherwise it might get tough. Sausages were proper, not the commercial plasticky stuff, liked both especially the Chorizo for its spicy flavour. Bacon were thin cuts yet very rich.

From their 8 sides options I chose- Mashed Potato, Mushroom Saute, Vegetable Saute and Spaghetti. Their mash is a must- creamy, buttery, both sautés were just perfect, spaghetti is lemon garlic butter based, simple and complimentary with the heavy mains. They cautioned me when I chose the spaghetti though as apparently most customers don’t prefer its plain flavour palette but I feel it compliments the heavy, rich flavours of the mains.

From their 8 sauce options I simply chose my top 2- Cheese and House Special. While cheese is rich and sharp (salty, tangy), house special is rich and comforting (beefy, dense). Go for these when you’re there and thank me later.
