This module provides a brief introduction to law to guide student-beginners on the study of obligations and contracts, and other related business law courses. The introduction will start with a discussion of the general nature and concepts of law, and gradually, will lead the students to the better understanding of the main subject.
The topics covered in this module are: (a) the meaning of law; (b)general divisions of law; (c)subjects and concepts of law; (d)characteristics and sources of law; (e)classifications of law; and (f)an introduction to the nature and definition of obligations and contracts.
