In this video I'm going to compare my 3 antennas using the SDRPlay RSP1 SDR with SDR Console software in my basement boiler room.
Please note while tuning the AM broadcast band I still had the mode on LSB, lower sideband. But at that point the MFJ-1886 really outclass the other two antennas lol.
My antennas.
1. MFJ-1886 Receive Loop Antenna at a height of 12 feet in my backyard using 50 feet of LMR 400 low loss coax cable. Cost is $249 plus shipping cost.
2. Miniwhip Active Antenna at a height of 30 feet on the roof using 75 feet of RG-8X coax cable. Cost is $39 with free shipping.
3. 85 feet longwire End Fed Antenna at a height of 35 feet on the roof using 75 feet of LMR 240 coax cable. Cost $59 plus shipping cost.
