At the 7th Sharjah Investment Forum, H.E. Ahmad Alqaseer, CEO of the Sharjah Investment & Development Authority (Shurooq), discusses with Economy Middle East the new projects led by Shurooq which include a residency in Khorfakkan, Ajwan — a residential development comprising 185 sea-view apartments and a water park. Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year, with a projected handover in 2027.
Given Sharjah's status as the largest safari destination outside of Africa, Shurooq is developing an African-themed hotel in Kalb, featuring 35 keys. This project is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of next year.
Moreover, Alqaseer discusses strategies to enhance Sharjah's appeal to investors, highlighting the emirate's growth potential, flexibility, safety, and infrastructure as key factors driving investment.
